Miniature World Series of Poker declared by Bodog

For those who cannot afford to fly to Vegas to attend the World Series of Poker, Bodog has now announced a cheaper, series of online tournaments which are similar to the 25 Hold’em events but available at a fraction of the price.

A final tournament will be held at the end of the 25 tournaments of the series, on July 10 where three seats will be awarded to the 2009 WSOP Main Event. With this offer, Bodog is the first site that offers seats to the next year’s tournament.

This event had started from May 30, on the same day that the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Hold’em event had started, with a $100 + $9 PLHE tournament. With this promotion, the CEO of Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, Alwyn Morris said that he was happy to offer poker players who could not attend the World Series in person, an affordable and exciting online alternative.

The Mini SOP is considered to be of excellent value for all players with the buy-ins ranging from $10 to $100. With this, only $821 is required by a player to enter all of Bodog’s events, instead of the $100,000 required to enter all the Hold’em events of the WSOP.

This online casino site has formed a Tournament Leader Board, which will decide on who is to be awarded the 2009 Main Event seats.
