The schedule for the Asian Poker tour
The calendar of events for the Asian Poker Tour has been announced for the year 2008 where stops have been planned for South Korea, Singapore, Philippines and Macau. The APT starts in Philippines from May 27 to June 1 where an expected 400 players will fight for the one million dollar, guaranteed prize pool.
To participate, you have to pay $2,500; but it is also possible to win your seat through online satellites. Similar tournaments are scheduled to follow this event in Macau, which is considered to be the gambling capital of Asia. After this the tournament heads to South Korea and then to Singapore.
However, the dates and avenues for the last three events will be released in a short while, once the Manila based show organizers ESL Asia announces the prize for each tournament. ESL Asia, a subsidiary of AsianLogic promises a guaranteed prize pool of one million dollars for the tournament to attract pool players from across the world.
In addition to this, each event of the tournament will feature internet qualifiers to ensure that online players get to rub shoulders with some of the leading poker professionals of the world in each live tournament.
